Funding

What is Pre-money valuation?

The value of a company before new investment is added.

Post-money = pre-money + new investment. The investor’s ownership = investment ÷ post-money.

Example

Pre-money ₹40 crore + ₹10 crore raised = ₹50 crore post-money; investor owns 20%.
