What we collect
- Calculators: numbers you enter into our tools are processed in your browser and are not sent to our servers.
- Newsletter: if you subscribe, we store your email address (and the page you subscribed from) to send the newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time from any email.
- Advertising enquiries: if you contact us about advertising, we store your name, email, company, phone (optional), budget and message to respond to you.
- Accounts: if you sign in, we use your email address to authenticate you (via our authentication provider, Supabase) and store your learning progress — XP, badges, completed lessons, saved ideas and tools used — so it syncs across devices.
- Progress without an account: your saved ideas, Founder Playbook progress (XP, chapters, missions) and game saves are stored in your own browser (local storage) and are not sent to us unless you sign in.
- Sponsored placements: we count anonymous impressions and clicks on sponsored placements to report results to advertisers.
- Ideas & Stories: when you submit an idea or story we store what you write, the optional details you add (industry, city, state, stage, budget range, name, email) and a one-way hashed version of your IP address to prevent spam. With your consent, we use submissions to research trends and to build new content, products and services, including anonymised, aggregated reports. Your email is never published or sold. Submissions appear publicly only if you ticked “publish” and we approved them, showing your first name only.
- Build Your Unicorn game: your game is saved in your own browser. If you choose to share your idea or add your result to the leaderboard, we store your first name, company name, idea, industry, city and score; the leaderboard shows company, first name, industry and score.
- Analytics: we may use privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics to understand which pages are read.
Advertising and cookies
We may show ads from third parties, including Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising via Google’s Ads Settings. Where required, we will ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you by emailing inquiries@therevenue.in.
